The Hays County Sheriff’s Office encourages all interested and qualified men and women to apply for the upcoming Basic Peace Officer Academy (BPOC) #1000696. The academy will begin testing for BPOC-Class 21 in May 2021. If you’re interested in testing, please send an email to sheriff.training@co.hays.tx.us expressing your intent to test. Be sure to specify your preferred testing date in your email. You will be sent a confirmation of your test date with an attached cadet application.
**It’s your responsibility to complete your application and bring it with you on your test date.**
Test Dates:
Friday May 7, 2021 at 8 a.m.
Friday May 14, 2021 at 8 a.m.
Friday June 18, 2021 at 8 a.m.
Friday June 25, 2021 at 8 a.m.
Mission
The mission of the Hays County Sheriff’s Academy is to provide the highest quality law enforcement instruction and to insure at all times that the standards and requirements of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and the Hays County Sheriff’s Office are met or exceeded.
