Welcome to the Hays County Transportation Department.  This department is responsible for maintaining and improving County roads, County road signs and rights-of-way (ROW).  The main office is located at 2171 Yarrington Road between the cities of Kyle and San Marcos. Equipment and material yards are also located in the Kyle, Wimberley and Dripping Springs areas.

Mission Statement: The department provides the citizens of Hays County with a safe, effective and cost-efficient system of roadways as well as addressing concerns for the environment and quality of life in planning and maintaining the road system. The Department works with other county departments, offices and political subdivisions to provide well-managed and customer-oriented government services.
